Anhel

Anhel (“Longing”) is a work that gives shape to the dreams of those who imagine a home. Like a collective memory of the architect’s craft, the piece is built from hundreds of technical drawing templates: fragments of the trade, tools of design. Layered together, these brightly colored templates form a vibrant surface that plays with light, transparency, and repetition.

At the heart of this constellation of forms, emptiness outlines the silhouette of a house: an elemental geometry, open to the gaze and the imagination. A house that does not yet exist but is already sensed. A project. A desire. A longing to inhabit. A template made of templates. A house built from the dream of living within it.

THE AUTHORS

David Oliva and Elisenda Planas are architects and founders of SP25 Arquitectura, a studio based in Vic and specialized in the management and development of new-build projects, renovations, and ephemeral architecture installations. They conceive their studio as an open and constantly evolving space, from which they also promote Estudi Kraft—children’s architecture workshops—and La Tintoreria—an exhibition space.

Ephemeral architecture allows them to explore new ways of interacting with space and with the perception of spectators. Through these projects, they have participated in renowned national and international festivals such as Lluèrnia, A Cel Obert, Gau Zuria, and FAV, and have been shortlisted or awarded on several occasions at the FAD, EMPORIA, Darc Awards, and the Girona Architecture Awards.
