Vida Latent
La Vida latent (“Latent Life”) refers to a state in which certain living organisms, such as seeds, bacteria, or algae, suspend their vital processes, existing in a space that is neither life nor death; a fragile threshold where we glimpse the most delicate face of existence, like a dream of matter itself.
This installation, crafted from plants, fibers, and seeds, draws inspiration from the structures of algae, bacteria, and spores. Over the course of several days, it will evolve—towards either life or death.
What would happen if, once dismantled, part of the intervention were planted and another part reused?
What would happen if we could eat the scenography?
What would happen if we filled the space with Latent Life?
