Hypnagogia
The installation unfolds as a dreamlike “promenade” a sensory journey that guides visitors through the phases of sleep, from wakefulness to the subconscious. Through a labyrinth of fabric, the courtyard becomes a liminal space where each layer marks a transition between states, inviting visitors to inhabit blurred thresholds.
The path, filtered through translucent fabrics that gradually shift perception, moves from drowsiness to the depths of the subconscious. The spatial layout emerges from a 45° rotated grid traced from the building’s columns, creating diagonal corridors.
At the center, the courtyard well is encapsulated and symbolizes the REM phase, the core where the dream reaches its greatest intensity. In this way, the well becomes the epicenter: an everyday object decontextualized and elevated into a new dreamlike spatiality.
