ELS PATIS PERDUTS DE TORTOSA

“Els patis perduts de Tortosa” is a photographic exhibition that shows some of the buildings, interior spaces and patios which have either disappeared from the city, changed considerably compared with their original state or are in an advanced state of disrepair. This is the heritage we have lost ­– or have allowed to be lost – and that can never be recovered. They are an example of the mistakes we have made and must not make again.

These images allow us to visit various spaces in the city of Tortosa and at the EMD de Jesús and the EMD de Bítem. All of them bear witness to the inexorable march of time and the often unstoppable transformations that affect our immediate surroundings.
